Makeup for round face9/10/2023 ![]() ![]() Who knew? In the same way that face shape comes into play when trying to figure out everything from the best colours to the most flattering eyebrow shape, eye shape has implications when it comes to deciding on eye makeup looks. In fact, makeup artists agree that subpar eye makeup that doesn't take into account the nuances of your eye shape could actually be weighing down your eyes and prematurely ageing you. Identifying your eye shape and employing makeup techniques that complement it might be the only thing standing between you and A+ makeup application. ![]() The individuality of every human's face is part of what makes each of us so supremely beautiful in our own ways, but those differences can often make it more difficult to identify the best makeup for any given person. peace.First of all, I think we can all agree that anyone can wear any makeup style or look they like, right? Makeup is entirely down to personal preference, but if, like me, you've ever followed a YouTube makeup tutorial to a T only to look in the mirror and realise it's a straight-up no-go on you, your eye shape might have had something to do with it. maybe a little off topic but i hope this answers your question to some degree. so theres a few of my fave handy styling tips just FYI. not only does it help to visually elongate your face, its also flattering, and makes your whole body look taller & slimmer overall. i tend to avoid any kind of makeup/hairstyle(s) such as straight across bangs/any kind of horizontal patterns in clothing, etc.really anything featuring prominent horizontal lines if i can help it. i stick with the same theme all the way down to my shoes if i can help it. i def prefer & will always choose something asymmetrical or diagonal or a handkerchief hemline if at all possible. same idea with the hemlines of shirts/skirts/dresses, etc.i almost never choose hemlines that cut straight across provided i have a choice. i kind of treat my entire neck/chest/cleavage area to be almost like a further extension of my face, if that makes sense.lol and i usually tend to expose some skin in that area in order to keep the eye moving in an up&downwards direction. the main goal here is to really try to create as much length as possible and create an unbroken line of sight in order to visually clear a verticle path & sort of create the optical illusion of elongating your entire overall appearance as much as possible. with deep v necklines while avoiding wearing anything with a high or rounded "tshirt" or "crew neck" style neck line at all costs. I always prefer to use Bobbi Brown eyeliner gel which I find so easy to work with. Using eye liner will make the eyes look long so the whole face seems shaped and longer. also paying attention to and only choosing shirts/sweaters/dresses/coats, etc. Gorgeous eyeliner, especially on you Choosing Clean look of a very accurate eyeliner is very important. ![]() this particular hairstyle is my go to style whenever im feeling insecure about my round face & it has helped to make my face appear drastically narrower than it actually is. Blush placement is crucial for every face shape. Well its not exactly a makeup tip persay.but the thing that has always worked the best for me (besides the obvious contouring the hollows of cheeks, down sides of nose, jawline/forehead, etc.) was growing my hair out as long as possible and styling it to be as straight as humanly possible creating a straight center part with a few face framing layers angled towards my face on both sides.
